Meristematic regions (PLZ HELP!)

I have botany homework and i cannot find the information anywhere! Heres the question:

Describe the location and development of meristematic regions in an herbaceous and a woody plant.

PLEASE HELP!

well.. the meristematic regions is where the cells are dividing constantly. It is always located on the top of succulent tissues (specially on apical growth areas).

Meristems are tissues composed of undifferentiated cells--immature rather.Active cell division takes place. When these cells differentiate according to their specialized purposes, permanent tissues are developed. Terminal parts of a plant are usually the site of meristems. These are responsible for the growth in the plant itself.
