winogradsky experiments

Postby benny on Mon Oct 22, 2007 11:49 pm

Hi all. I'm doing a report on Sergei Winogradsky, and need to include some historical background, including the instrumentation he used and experimental methods. Does anyone know of a url which gives details of biological scientific methods in the 1890s, in particular Russia? I've done some reading and have come across things called Geissler chambers and Hansen's method. Does anyone know what these are? Thanking anyone for any help they can offer.
