lactobacillus casei resistance to pH alterations

Postby rich9 on Fri Apr 20, 2007 6:16 pm

hi, i know it can, but i dont know how the probiotic bacteria Lactobacillus Casei can withstand such a wide range of pHs. Does anyone know how the cellular structure of this bacteria helps it to do so? and is there any web link/journal/book which i can reference to prove it in an investigation? many thanks, r
