Natural selection or Genetic mutation?do you believe in natural selection or genetic mutation?
I would just like your opinion on this one.
Yep, same here, I both.
Generally speaking, the more people talk about "being saved," the further away they actually are from true salvation.

You dont need mutation for selection; selection simply acts on the variation present in a population...and variation isnt neccessarily a result of mutation (without sounding or getting too pedantic).
Mutation is a fact - its easy to prove. Selection also is fact - again, easy to prove: take a randomly mixed population, put selective pressures on them and watch the binomial curve shift... These are simply two processes - surely even creationists can accept them? "What are humans if they don't learn at University? Animals, yes."
^^One of my ex-girlfriends said that. I stress the ex part.
kotoreru nails it on the head.
Scientists are a friendly, atheistic, hard-working, beer-drinking lot whose minds are preoccupied with sex, chess and baseball when they are not preoccupied with science.

I think boththere were many evolution theory : mutation, natural selection and so on. But nowadays biologists think those factors can affect evolution........ ( And I think these theory can be explained by selfish gene theory)
both happen. all the time, if you concider all the time every 10k years or so.

Mutations are the basis for natural selection to take place. For selection there needs to be a variety, which is built up by genetic mutations.
