Why are ABO & Rh systems preffered?

Hi,
I want to confirm my logic behind why only ABO & Rh blood group systems are preffered. I think, the ABO Ags & Rh Ags in greater no. on RBCs than Ags of other systems. The no. of other Ags is less enough to be neglected from tranfusion reaction pt. of view.
