Enzymes are catylists, not reagents. Catylists of chemical reactions are not used up when the reaction runs.
My high school biology teacher said that in some reactions, enxymes are unused...but don't believe this unless someone else can confirm it.
ReferenceI sincerely recomend Principles of Biochemistry by Lehninger.
Plz get a copy from ur college library and read watever it says on enzymes. P.S. However please consider that u will need to know at least 12th grade chemistry to grasp the concept of catalysis - either by inorganic catalysts or by enzymes.
