Hi ,
I am doing work on A. niger. I have grown this culture but now I won't be using it for 2 days. Is there some way of arresting further growth. PLease help me out .

Yeah.. you can just put the culture in the fridge at 4oC. Aspergillus sp. prefers warmer conditions to grow.. however by subjecting it to long term refridgeration may lead to altered growth states, eg, increased sporulation etc etc good luck....

Yes my concern is what are you planning to do with the culture after its been in the fridge. it should still be alive, but metabolically fairly dormant.
