i am working on rapd fingerprinting of a polysaccharide rich plant. now i want to do an AFLP fingerprint on it. using agarose gel , will it give me good results . also i want to know about designing primers for RE adaptors. plz suggest me some references

try Agricola or Pubmed
to make your bibliography.

As for AFLP, I'm doing that on bacteria with agarose gels. Protocols depends on the length of amplicons, so each protocol ask for it's own optimization. But I am running agarose gels (1.5% for 16 hours to get a good resolution between 300bp to 5000bp)
