they seem to go back and forth on coffee consumption. I saw a study recently touting coffee as reducing the risk of type II diabetes in women.

Reminds me of the incredible edible egg, one day it is called the worst food on earth, the next day they say eat, eat, eat!

Eat eggs for the protein, not for the rda of 70% cholesterol. That's why most ppl eat just the whites.

My mother drinks tea and my aunt drank coffee. Apparently she(my aunt) became addicted to coffee and had to be weaned off by using tea. IMO, tea is better.

Well if you drink to much water you can die even from that. So i think cofein is good for the organisam in smal quantities. It speeds blod flow, concentrarion, wakes you up... Tea is probably better because it contains many chemicals that can be benefical in many ways (antioxidans, anticancer, antimicrobial, immune boosting, microelements...). So coffee is good for waking up (besides it`s good taste) and tea is good for everything (besides it`s better taste). Some tea have equal or even more cofein than coffee.
These days people are so obsessed with (un)healthy food that thay go into extremes like no eggs, no milk, no meat, cofein, sugar... Modesty is virtue.
