Percoll and RediGrad Look alikesHi All,
I'm working on being able to seperate vegetative bacterial cells from their spore form. I've used Percoll and my results are great. I've read RediGrad is the newest version of Percoll. However, both are way too expensive for my application so I cant keep using these mediums. My question is basically, does anyone know of another medium that will work as well as Percoll but cost a whole lot less? I need a density of about 1.2-1.3 to seperate what i'm working on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
You may find some help on this forum http://www.protocol-online.org/forums/index.php which is more technically oriented that this one. Good Luck
Patrick
