Cell attachment

Hi, I've been looking for a protocol to measure cell attachment using a colorimetry assay with crystal violet as the dye and I can't find any that really works for me. Someone knows any?

Also, if someone knows the equation that needs to be use to link absorbance with number of cells and can tell me, will be very helpful.
