Safety of Splenda (Sucralose)Hello!
I'm looking for an answer that is based in factual evidence ... in reference to the safety of using Splenda as an artificial sweetener. I have done a pubmed search and found .... NOTHING that showed any adverse effects of this sweetner (that were statistically significant). Does anyone know of any recent liturature pertaining to this ... that has real scientific merit ? (ie. in a respectable journal ... with data from scientific experiments... having appropriate controls ... [ie. NOT from a website, or what you heard from a non-scientific book that was not written by a non-scientist]) Please let me know the a name of the 'paper' and i'll pubmed it ... or find it! Thanks in advance! - RKS p.s. I'm also interested in 'seeing' the chemical reactions necessary to 'create' splenda.

Re: Safety of Splenda (Sucralose)I did a search on this a couple of years ago, and there wasn't much - one suggestive point was the finding that splenda cleared through the kidneys was somewhat dechlorinated.
