GRE

Just of curiosity, how many years is the GRE valid after taking it?

Boy it's been a long time since I did that, but I think the GRE scores are easily accessible for up to ten years. In other words, if you take the test today but don't apply to grad school for another six or seven years, you can still get your scores just by sending the usual form to ETS. After ten years the scores are still available, but you have to make a special request to the ETS people to retrieve them from their archives. Individual schools may have their own limits on how much time they're willing to allow to pass before they ask you to take the exams again, but the scores themselves are always valid at least in the sense of being available to report whenever you need them.
