spleenocyte count for hybridoma production

Hi,
I prepare hybridomas, using mouse spleenocytes and myeloma cells ( one spleen to about 50,000,000 myeloma cells).
I will soon be preparing a hybridoma with rat spleenocytes, and want a protocol for counting the spleenocytes, and how many spleenocytes to how many myeloma cells?

I think you can use the regular protocol for lymphocyte counting. More cells are better to provide reservation
