why the similarity of the genetic code in bacteria and humans supports the theory of evolution?

Because the similarities are remarkable.
We have genes that are dormant in us that are the same as the ones found in bacteria. When these genes are iserted into the bacteria they work perfectly fine and this shows support that we all have a common orgin. This is not proof but it is suggestive. Not just bacteria but pretty much every thing every animal ect. The fact that a rough "family tree" can be formed shows that there is a very good possibility of a common ancestor, that everything evolved from the same source. That along with all the other evidence supports a VERY strong case for evolution.

also the sequence of nucleotides code for the production of the exact same proteins whether the sequence is in humans or bacteria. we are 'speaking' the exact same genetic language.

if it wasnt for charles darwin, was there any possibility that this theory of evolution would be discovered?

Evolution as a theory existed long before Darwin; the Greeks had a similar theory, and St. Augustine wrote about it in the 4th century. Darwin merely built upon the work of his predecessors, and his primary contribution was not the theory of evolution, but the theory of natural selection.
