biology in sports?can someone give me some ideas on how biology would apply to athletics/athletes... i was thinking about how i could relate hydration and how the body works.. ?
Re: biology in sports?
hmm..try with metabolism, some important ions in body, essencial aminoacids, you can regulate your nutrition,...that's the first thing on my mind... anatomy, physiology(Ca and contraction of muscles,...),...
Mos parts of human anatomy have aplications in sports/atletichs. In my country, at the phisical education faculty you have to take a human anatomy class...

As a runner I know that it is critical to be properly hydrated before every type of exercise. During exercise electrolytes (the different types of ions) are needed to transfer energy through the body. Without electrolytes in your body the messages given off by your brain is not received in the muscles of your body. Without that message the muscles shut down and you feel a num feeling.
