how do herbs sow seed after their kind?do herbs let seeds out into the air to reproduce?

i look at the herb plants in my garden and i cant see any seeds. are the seeds to small to see with the naked eye? also, where exactly are the seeds on a herb plant?, (on the leaves?)
What kind of herbs are we talking about?

they may also reproduce asexually if they are perennial. More stems arrise from the same root.

thank you for your help, i understand now. the herb simply takes time to flower then the bees or wind poinate the flower so it produces seeds.
and finally the plant dispurses seeds into the wind
