Could we get a discussion going here on Algae?

If global warming is a fact, then please let us get educated on how we can combat the affects of algae on the human body.

Whether this is airborne, waterborne, and/or is in soil, can we look at it in a scientific way?

I am not a scientist, but, would appreciate those who are educated in this manner to discuss this with us.

When algae and fungus meet they form lichen. Correct?

Lichen is on trees, so how does it get there? other than airborne?

Does the lichen incorporate spores from microsporiodosis into the very nature of the tree?

Can our trees actually have too much carbon in them?

i think this topic must be moved to ecology --> this has nothing to to with human physiology, -anatomy or medicine.
