HI my name is Joshua and I have 2 different color eyes and one split in two. My left eye is green and my right eye is brown but is split in two, top part is light brown and bottom is dark brown. When I was born my left eye which is green now was light blue. Sometimes I think my eyes can't figure out what color they want to be, because my green eye keeps changing from light green to dark green hazel. Since I was a kid everyone would stare at my eyes saying the usual, dude did you know your eyes are different colors and I would say dude did you knwo your eyes are the same color. I've only met one other person with different color eyes his was also green and brown, but not split in two like my right eye. I think light has a big part on eye color as well, because my dads eyes change from light blue to green in the sun. None else in my family has different color eyes and I think its a special gift only a few of us have. I also was wondering does everyone who has different color eyes have 20/20 vision like me and I have noticed when my eyes get tired or start hurting they would go cross eye'd and was wondering does this happen to you to? It only happens once in a blue moon though other than that my vision is 20/20.
Re: two different color eyesJosh,
My left eye is green, and my right eye is 3/4 brown -1/4 green....they say that it is considerd heterochromia iridis. I really don't know more than the fact it is pretty rare to have two colors in one eye. There is nothing that indicates any major abnormalty but I just look at it like wow we are different !!!
Re: two different color eyesMy left eye is green and my right eye is 3/4 brown 1/4 green...no one has ever been able to explain it to me other than heterochromia iridis. Whatever that means....if any one knows more I would love to hear it ....thanks
Re: two different color eyesi also have one blue eye and one green jimmy
Re: two different color eyesi have two different colored eyes i'm 40yrs. old and i love my eyes.
growing up with my eyes being different colored gave me alot of attention the most common thing people would say is i see that in dogs. so i would always say i'm half human half dog. ha.ha.
Re: two different color eyesI also have two different colored eyes....one blue and one green (well its three quarters green). I was born with it. I like it, it makes me different from everyone else i know. And i can tell if someone is acctually looking into my eyes because they usually ask. " did you know your eyes are two differnt colors?" i have gotten that line so often. But having two different colored eyes is fun, because its unique, and sets me aside from everyone else, im not boring. LIVE IT UP ITS AWESOME!!!
Re: two different color eyesmy name is Dustin I have lived in western canada all my life, my left eye is brown with 10% blue in it and my right eye is blue with 10% brown in it, my mothers eyes are blue but my fathers eyes are hazel and my brown in dark brown and no one in my ancestry has had it as far as I know. I have met 3 other people in my life similair, one the same as me, one with same eyes opposite sides and one with one green and one blue and her birthday was one day after mine, the chances of meeting that person must have been so extremely rare.
Re: two different color eyesMy Son is now almost 5 yrs old and he has had different colored eyes sense he was just a baby. One eye is blue and the other is 1/2 brown & 1/2 blue. He also has a small patch of hair on head that is a different color then the rest. He was born with thick black hair which all feel out by the time he was 6mth and grew back a light brown. I noticed then that he had a patch of orange hair on the top of his head. When he was born he also had 5 different birth marks, but one has faded so you can barely see it. People are always pointing out his eye color difference and asking me about it, but I know very little about it or why it happens. Everyone is always telling me I will have to watch out for him when he is older because all the girls will be after him
Re: two different color eyesI have two different colored eyes too. I was born with them. Actually when I was born my right eye was bright blue and my left eye was bright green. Now my right eye is still blue, but my left eye is more hazel. I love my eyes and wouldn't change them for anything. You can always tell when someone realizes your eyes are different colors. They stare and stare with this weird look on their face and they don't seem to be paying attention to anything else. Its great! LOL. I've researched the causes, but does anyone know if you are prone to having problems with your eye sight. I had a horse with one blue eye and he was blind in that eye. I am not but I do have to wear contacts to see and in one eye I have astygmatism. Not sure which though.
My brother has partial heterochromia iridis. His eyes are primarily brown with one eye quarter blue. We learned it could be associated with congenital syndromes (Hirschprungs/ Waardenburg), whch he does not have. They are very interesting to look at though and haven't come across anyone else with it!
Re: two different color eyesI have a brown eye and a blue eye. My mom and dad both have blue eyes. I am the youngest of six and I have a brother and a sister with green eyes. However, my grandmother told me her great grandmother also had a brown eye and a blue eye. My uncle on my mother's side had a brown spot in one of his eyes.
Re: two different color eyesMy eyes change color also, they go from blue to gray to greenish, my brown eye is 80% brown most of the time, some times it will be more like 45%. I really am glad to read I am not the only person and I did not know how my eyes changed colors. I have been called a freak by my brothers allot. My sister likes to show me around like a party favor. I too have problems my eye makeup and think most of the pictures I take look off because of my eyes.
