Trying to complete an assignment and finding a few areas difficult to locate related information. Info is required on stratification. How does stratification relate to grape seeds. Any help or useful websites would be greatly appreciated.

Are you sure the word is "STRATIFICATION"? Could the word be "SCARIFICATION"? Scarfiication applys to seeds but I can't readily apply stratification to seeds.

Definately stratification: meaning is " The use of chemical and mechanical systems to break dormancy and increase germination ". I understand the principle, maybe a fire or a spell of really cold weather, or even an animal chewing on the sead coat to complete dormancy and the seed to commence germination. The bit I am lost with is how this actually relates to a GRAPE SEED.
