Spirulina chlorophyll extraction

Hello, I am trying to extract chlorophyll from dehydrated spirulina (powder).

I tried with acetone 80%, but after a long time of agitation I get a dark green mud, indicating that most of the chlorophyll remains in the algae... Anyone has any suggestions?

I would centrifuge the mud, save the Chlorophyll saturated supernatant and repeat extraction step until the pellet is basically washed.

Pool all the supernatants of all steps, concentrate by evaporation, et voila,

yes, but the acetone does not look saturated. I think that I need something to break up the cells.

The multiple extraction could work, but being chlorophyll so unstable, I am looking for something faster, that I can perform on a single step.
