The eyes and the brainI've read somewhere that the human brain filters/ulters out up to 50% of what the eyes see. This is based on your belief system, ego. In other words if one is about to see something that might change or put in question their belief system--religion for example, then they will not see it. Can be explained how some people see ghosts and some dont. The reason this occurs is because we are tought not to 'make up stories' as children and constrict ourselves to the physical world. Why else do people meditate. When someone meditates they unlearn what they have learned over the years. But enough of that.
The bottom line of what I'm trying to say is that we create what we see each and every day of our lives. Now my question is: can someone link me a site where the relationship between eyes and the brain is explained in greater detail. As in more detail how this change in perception occurs. Thank you.

I am curious as to where you get this idea? http://www.cc.gatech.edu/classes/cs6751 ... enses.html this site is at least a start, depending on what kind of detail you want to get into... ERS

I am curious as to where you get this idea? I am confused by this also. I dont know much about meditating, but i thought it was relaxation and altering the state of mind. How can it possibly have anything to do with unlearning what you have learned. if thats possible? It seems that what you are saying is that if you dont believe in ghosts then you wont see them. Which is true in a way as people will deny what they saw and assume it was their mind playing tricks. Where as someone who sees a ghost and believes in them will think its really a ghost. This takes a lot of thinking about, but at the moment (after a long day looking at computer program code and biological pathways Do you know that we only see a tiny 3 degress (thats what i was told) in front of us? i.e. the brain fills in the rest. You only see what is straight ahead of you.
