Is that why inhaling pure oxygen rips the body up?
Anyone have an answer to that?

Not really, our body has evolved to withstand oxygen. I'm guessing there are other problems such as pressure gradients. But i might be wrong of course

Not really, because some of the metabolism process in our body which use oxygen will generate an Oxygen radical which is harmful for our cells even though our cells have managed this radical as a weapon for pathogens..but still, too much oxygen radicals, your body rips faster..

So if someone is inhaling pure oxygen, he/she should have some anti-oxidant ???

Conclusion:
if you get pure oxygen therapy, you should get some apples...

Theorically yes...but, can you guarantee that the pathway which HIV-contained-blood use is free from 'scratch'?? Let's say that someone has gotten an ulcer inside his stomach..then what do you think if he swallow that blood sample??

Not like that, Oxygen that we inhaled is stable enough in our body. But after this oxygen is used in metabolism, it will generate a free radical oxygen which is highly reactive. But consuming many apples is good for health..so, don't avoid eating apples...
APPLE FOR LIFE  :D

Sometimes when we eat, its possible to have microlacerations inside our cheeks. They quickly heal and you'll never notice. But its possible that at the right moment AIDS can possibly survive long enough to pass through that.. and then you'll be in trouble.

Regarding the other topic, I don't think oxygen rips your body apart faster. Well, if you inhale high oxygen, youll feel high, that's for sure and may pass out due to hyperventilation. I heard soome casino establishments pump pure oxygen into the air conditioning to "re energize" those people gambling at very late hours or very early morning. Can anybody confirm that?
