Restriction digestion

Hi
I am student of Plant biotechnology, my problem is I have yeast expression vector which is having XbaI and Bam HI sites When i restrict using seperatly and combind i am not getting even single band and only smear is there.
so anybody help me in this regard,
I hope few answer will be there from members

Just reading you many problems can explain your result:
- Problem with your plasmid purification
- Star activity from your enzyme (both exhibit it)
- Poor activity of your enzyme
- ...

Without your experimental conditions I can't be of any help.
