The wastes of metabolism is excretion, right? And not egestion?

Now I'm confused. I'm sure it's excretion, not egestion. Isn't egestion the removal of unwanted food substances from the body?

yeah!excretion is removal of metabolic waste.egestion is removal of unigested food particle.no question of metbolism here.

not quite. some insects eliminate uric acid crystals through their intestine. Almost all insects actually... This is because of some structures named Malpighi tubes.
And there are other exceptions like that.
But generally, you got it.

Feces is the excretion of undigested food from the digestive tract.

Urine is the excretion of metabolic waste from the urine tract (which recieved the waste from the cardiovascular system).

What do you mean GI? is it Gastro-intestinal?

Ammonia is toxic and must be turned to urea by combining with CO2!

or could be dehydrogenated and get combined with some carboxylic acid to form amino acid?? :mrgreen:
