I guess... Where did you take your information? I have never heard this info(that only gram- have pili) before...

Both Gram+ and Gram- conjugate, but not the same way. Gram- have pili, Gram+ have adhesins.
have a look on this http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/bv.fcgi?rid=mmed.section.468 at the conjugation part. You could probably find even more think with a pubmed search (first searc the books) Patrick
