Fruit DissectionModerator: BioTeam

Fruit DissectionThis is IMO the most pointless lab ever, our teacher cut up different fruits for us and we're supposed to label them. Anyone have any resources for labelling fruits? For example we're supposed to label a part of the tomato as placenta...google searches revealed (human) placenta recipes with tomato sauce. Also I'm pretty sure there's a name for the white part inside the kiwi...

Botany is the study of what? Bottoms!
problem with nomenclatureMay I ask a question?
Is placenta a nomenclature just use for animals? How we call the centre placenta and outer placenta? Thanks
the term placenta defines structures both in plants and in animals..
