Hiv mosquitoWhat if mosquito which have bited man which is HIV positive will bite me? Will i get HIV too?
Deffinetly not! When i designed the fliers for last year's campaign along with my team we specifically wrote that it is impossible for the virus to be transmitted through insect bites

Since HIV virus is not Arbo (Arthropod-borne) virus, then it can't use arthropods as vectors, so don't worry..
HIV is a type of Retrovirus, genera Lentivirus, only spread through direct blood contact with positive-HIV people. (actually saliva contact is also, but the chance is not as high as blood contact) Q: Why are chemists great for solving problems?
A: They have all the solutions.
You can get HIV virus, if let's say you french-kiss a person that has it and you both have open woonds in your mouth... So, you can see, chances are very smalll...

Not really(experience
On a more serious matter, it doesn't have to be a big woond, just big enough for the virus to get inside. It could be microscopic "I have no intention of stopping anytime soon. I want to understand the universe and answer the big questions, that is what keeps me going" - Stephen Hawking
Andrew is right. By the way I'm not talking about a wound that is too big. It matters not how strait the gate

We have those words too. Believe me they are NOTHING!!!
PS: Maybe discussing this on a different topic is proper as this is microbiology board, but I just wanted to tell my opinion. It matters not how strait the gate

Oh yes, back to da topic...any question 'bout Arbovirus?or perhaps about Robovirus, Nebovirus or Sobovirus? Q: Why are chemists great for solving problems?
A: They have all the solutions.
Relax, even if you do kiss a seropozitive person the chances of getting infected are minimum. You have a better chance of dieing by getting hit by an airplane.
Whatever you do, don't tell anyone "I won't kiss you because you may have HIV. That is a real turn-off "I have no intention of stopping anytime soon. I want to understand the universe and answer the big questions, that is what keeps me going" - Stephen Hawking
