16S rRNA in E. coli

Hello!
I'm trying to find information about how many 16S rRNA "molecules" (I guess one could say transcripts instead) there are in an E. coli bacterium in general. One figure I've heard is between 10000-100000 copies but I've haven't been able to confirm it.

Any information anyone?

Try to find how many ribosomes there are, it is equivalent I remember reading it in the E. coli and Salmoenlla handbook but I do not have it here...

Yes, thanks! I actually came up with that idea myself when I had posted the question (of course), so you confirmed my idea! I got a similar figure then, so I guess it's somewhere in that region. Finding the number of ribosomes was easier.
