DNA Barcoding - Fingerprinting

Hi everyone

Need to write an essay about DNA barcoding. During my research I encountered often the term DNA fingerprinting. Is this exactly the same as DNA barcoding or are there any differences. Couldn't find anything about it on the net yet.
