Is this a Sweet Pea?

I have just moved to Canada outside of Toronto on the Niagara Escarpment and I inherited this flower from the little old lady I bought my house from. It's vinelike and I have no idea what it is!

Folks have said it might be a Sweet Pea. It looks so exotic to me that I cannot believe it's a simple thing called a Sweet Pea.

Yeah. im almost certain it is. My mum grows quite a lot of them in the garden . lol - looks exotic but it grows in the chilly north west of england (altho it is summer now).
It's always funny until someone gets hurt. Then it's just hilarious.

It is Fabaceae family
Lathyrus odoratus
or Lathyrus tuberosus L.
Lathyrus spp is exactly
