Question about DiatomsI have a doubt about Diatoms
In diatoms why one of the two daughters is slightly smaller than the parent. How the binarry fission occurs in them???

Yes, Mrmistery Diatom is a microscopic one-celled alga that has silica-filled cell walls or shells divided into two halves. Diatoms are responsible for the formation of diatomite in water. Class: Bacillariophyceae
I know what diatoms are. But you posted it in the zoology forum. So i was thinking there might be some animal named that that i've never heard about. Anyway, topic moved to botany section
