Mutagenesis e UVModerator: BioTeam

Mutagenesis e UVHello there,
I'm planning to induce mutations on various plant seeds or apexes for experimentation at home. I won't use any chemicals, nor X-rays or gamma for some reasons you may understand. However, I can buy some UV lights originally designed for water sterilization. I see various light powers offered : 9W, 11W, 36W. The question is : which power would be best? On a more practical approach: for seeds with opaque teguments, am I to dissect them to let the UV light pass through the inner cells, or is it able to go through naturally? Many thanks for your help and experience, Rémi T.
