What exactly does the term 'Induced Fit' mean?

I know its got something to do with the bond between an enzyme and its substrate but that's about all I got out of my textbook.

It suggests that the enzyme is not rigid and that it actually changes its shape slightly to fit the profile of the substrate. The enzyme will mould its self around the substrate as it does this it puts strain on the substrate molecule. The strain distorts a particular bond and lowers the activation energy needed to break the bond. It explains how molecules can affect enzyme activity and how the activation energy is lowered.
