lytic cycle questionI was wondering about the lytic cycle: in Biology by Campbell and Reece, 7th edition, on page 338 figure 18.6, it says that the "cell's DNA is hydrolyzed" under "2. entry of phage DNA and degradation of host DNA." My question is why and how is the "cell's DNA is hydrolyzed" accomplished.
