Paul and Anne Ehrlich use the the term "life-support system" in their book "The Dominant Animal" when referring to ecosystem goods and services.
Did they create the term? If not where did it originate?

Yes of course your right! Life support systems are used to keep people alive in space. I meant, were the Ehrichs the first scientists that use the term "life-support system" to describe the biosphere.
