Recommend a good big cats conservation book?

My girlfriend is into conservation, so I thought I would get a good one for her..

Can anyone recommend any? It would especially be nice if it has a focus on big cats (Her favorites), and information on international breeding programs and improvements in zoo captivity (Her current focus).

We both study biology at the university, so it doesnt matter if the books are written in a very scientific focused view.
