Properties of waterThe question is List six properties water possesses that enable it to be so useful and important to life.
i found some physical and chemical properties but none that pertain to helping life. Would this work? Water in the ocean absorbs heat cooling the coastline
Think about how living organisms use water, and how its physical and chemical properties allow it to be used by life.
Generally speaking, the more people talk about "being saved," the further away they actually are from true salvation.

The unique properties of water stem from two aspects of its structure:
(1) its atoms are joined by polar covalent bonds, and (2) the molecule is V-shaped, with a 105o bond angle. This makes the molecule completely polar, with a slight negative charge (б-) on the oxygen atom and a slight positive charge (б+) on each hydrogen atom. Since opposite electrical charges attract, water molecules tend to attract each other (like pieces of magnets) by hydrogen bonds, making it kind of “sticky”. This is why water drops are, in fact, drops! This gives a set of properties that account for its ability to support life, namely, solvency, cohesion, thermal stability, adhesion; chemical reactivity. Solvency: Water is called a “universal solvent” because it dissolves more substances than any other liquid. As a solvent, it provides an effective medium for transport of other chemicals, and for a wide variety of metabolic reactions. Cohesion: Water molecules are attracted to each other by hydrogen bonds and this is the basis for the surface tension and thermal stability of water. Thermal Stability: Water has a specific heat (1 cal/g) and high heat of vapourisation (80 cal/g).These physical properties of water help to prevent rapid fluctuations (an effective cooling agent) in body temperature, either hot or cold, and permit small amount of it (perspiration and transpiration) to remove large amounts of body heat during exercise. Adhesion: Water adheres to tissues and forms a lubricating film on body biological membranes. Chemical Reactivity: Reactivity is the ability to participate in chemical reactions. Not only does water ionize many other chemicals such as acids and salts, but it itself ionizes into H+ and OH- ions. Thus, it facilitates chemical reactions, and it itself participates as a reactant or product in many of them, especially the important metabolic reactions, hydrolysis and condensation.
