need help finding what type of bone this is!hey guys... i'm levi and i'm from new zealand.
new to these forums, not really sure if i am in the right place but i found a bone washed up on a beach at napier last weekend and am greatly curious as to firstly WHAT it is and WHY it weighs so much. it is 10inches (25cms) long weighs about 800 grams (not really too sure on this as i don't have proper measuring scales, only bathroom scales, but it is certainly very heavy for it's size)... the texture of it is extremely smooth. thought that it might of been semi petrified because of it's weight but i'm probably wrong, just an idea.. will try and get some pictures up of it from different angles so that you guys can see what it looks like. any help which you can give me will be greatly appreciated. cheers, levi

Oh sorry, because I paid attention on the picture, and usually I see a scale on one of its corners
It seems like limb (extremitas) bone
