Summer Activity

Hi!! I am a college student home for the summer in a rural area. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of some activities i could do that relate to the Biology field in any discipline. Are there usually ecological groups all over and if so how could i join one? I wanted to try to get active in my major this summer so any ideas would be very helpful!!!! Thanks!!!

Kinda depends on where you live...
Most areas have watershed councils and other ecological/environmental groups. There will probably also be outdoor clubs that take hikes and trips and whatnot. Check your local paper, and if your town has a website, look through that.
Sierra Club is pretty much everywhere, so try doing a search for that.
If you can't find anything, then I highly recommend you just start your own .
