All Are HighYesterday, our country joined in celebrating the International Earth Day. How wonderful it was to see many people all march and do for a single cause. Many children joined contests that inculcated into them the responsibility and advocacy in taking care of their environment. However, along with the celebration was the never ending headlines and news about our increasing environmental concerns both for the people and their only home.
We are on a quite price hike on every consumable product most especially the most staple food for most of the people here: Rice. Yes. For about three weeks ago since the start of the smoke has reached every concerned being. And today the fire is quite big, Task Force Charlie, Delta, Echo, Foxtrot... We have so many agricultural lands here but there were no enough funds for irrigation and farmer benefits. We were once to be the pioneers in the South East Asia, we taught and shared ideas of growing rice, now the former imports. Too many of these lands were already converted to subdivisions and luxurious villages. Too many fellowmen that I see, whose poverty and hunger are debilitating. Hoarding issues are on rise as well. Getting bigger and bigger as the recent Swine Scandal. The common breakfast meal in the morning, Pan de sal due to increased commercial flour and sugar turned into Pan de sito "Oh dear, World market prices increase, so please try to understand". Global warming ads in TVs and papers were shouted--so that everybody here may hear and act. And for many days it was terribly hot. Fresh and hot news two days ago opened up the concerns on polluted natural resources. A building at the center of a forest is high on rise, resort establishments invades peaceful lakes. So many Basura (garbage) de bay on development--architects and engineers were those both educated and uneducated. Salary wage hike!--Many has set to the loudest volume. A pile of every same story—so high as far as every ordinary people could see. Where are the taxes going? Here, there? There, in? Yes, in! There are more to come: Higher than what was of today and yesterday. For all are high but so few in the quality of life of every dreaming child. If only... So how high are those in yours? ---When reason ends, faith begins---
