Virginia Commonwealth University is a great one. It is extremely well funded and staffed with the best in the field. The only drawback is that class sizes are huge.

I say Pikeville College is. (because i go there. lol). It's a great smalltown liberal arts school and you get one-on-one attention and actually get to know the professors personally. The class sizes are ~20 and the acceptance rate for BIology majors into professional schools is near 98%.

Pikeville College is a private college so the tuition is $16,000/year with room & board. Yes, I got a full ride, otherwise I wouldn't be here. lol. . Morehead University is another great Biology school in Kentucky. Tuition is $16,510 for non-state residents. The University of Kentucky is a great school with a tuition of approximately $14,000-15,000 for non-state residents.

I'm heading off to NYU in New York. They are an amazing Research college but the tution kills. I'm probanbly going to take out just short of 200,000 dollars in loans. But u know what it's worth it.
