Identification of throat bacteria

Postby kaja on Thu Jan 03, 2008 1:28 pm

Heya,
i undertook an investigation into the bacteria found in the throat, by taking a sample and then inoculating a single bacterial colony. In order to try and identify the inoculated bacteria i then undertook a number of other tests and the results are as follows:
Gram stain: -ve
Catalase test: -ve
Oxidase test: -ve
strept test: -ve
If any suggestions could be given as to the possible genus of the bacteria in question this would be highly appreciated.
Many thanks, Kaja :D
