a questionI came across a question in a local competition,do you have any idea about this?
"What is the term for a living thing to get poisoned by poisonous product that another living thing released to the environment?" Helps much appreciated...
a general term, they don't give any further information
lol yes, sorry but it is rather obvious
I think what the question is asking is for a noun to describe the process of one organism poisoning another without direct physical contact e.g. dinoflagellate bloom toxins. Annoyingly, I think I should know a word to that effect but I can't recall it... "What are humans if they don't learn at University? Animals, yes."
^^One of my ex-girlfriends said that. I stress the ex part.
yeah exactly, but the thing is,they ask the term for "being poisoned" by the process you mentioned, not the term for "to poison" by this process...
Well once we have a good noun it's a simple enough job to inflect it with 'be' and we're there - still no luck on anything from me though

well thanks anyway, looking forward to hear from you if you get to remember that noun, much appreciated...
Perhaps allelopathy?
What did the parasitic Candiru fish say when it finally found a host? - - "Urethra!!"
