Do you believe "Gaia Theory"?I recently read about Gaia Theory, which was established by James Lovelock. the viewpoint that regards the earth as a "LIFE" was so intersting.
However, Personally, I think this theory is just like an interesting "Theory" : I don't believe it. But I think such an attitude can help people recognize the hazard of pollution. Here is a question. Do you agree or disagree with this theory? If you agree or disagree, why do you think like that? I ask this question just to compare the different viewpoint. Anyway, have a nice day! One of the most interesting aspects of it, for me, is the idea that humankind is on the road to becoming the reproductive engine of Earth.
Think about it, if we can send ships to colonise the Moon, Mars etc. then we've basically allowed 'Gaia' to reproduce. The book is excellent, personally I love the theory. Whether I believe it or not is another matter. "What are humans if they don't learn at University? Animals, yes."
^^One of my ex-girlfriends said that. I stress the ex part.

I like the idea too. Always have. I think it helps us to be more conscientious, sensitive and responsible. Is Earth an organism? I don't know. Is the solar system? The Milky Way? Our local cluster? The known universe? Reality? Robert K.
