Biology in the OR????

hi again! aren't yall happy to hear from me again?? lol

Well, here's my problem...
This summer i am going to be volunteering at my local hospital. I want to work in the operating room {blood, guts...fun stuff!} but my mom wants me to work somewhere with biology all arround. gag me! is there any biology in the OR? i really want to work there! thanks y'all!

Well, it really depends what you will be doing. If you can watch the doctor operate than i don't think there is any other place with more applied bio. But if you will be mopping the floor....

I would be bringin' blood to the doctors, takein' specimens to the lab, that sort of thing. Pluss- i have an uncle who's a surgeon and an aunt who's a nurse -i could really learn a LOT from them!

Lol- are you being forced to do Biology? Sorry to ask so suddenly and out of the blue, but in your signature it says something like "Don't hate me 'cause I don't like Biology"- why are you doing it then? And why is your mum (Mom- in America) wanting you to be surrounded by Biology if you don't like it? Sorry, if you don't want to answer them it's fine. I'm just curious, lol.

i have to take it for school :cry: mamma wants me to be a doctor so she thinks i need to get as much bio experience as i can. ~ Dri Parker~

Aww, that's a shame. But I'm sure a Doctor would be an amazing job! And I suppose Biology will be partly essential in knowing things about the Human Body etc..

Yep! I'm Scottish! Lol, unfortunately. I plan to get out of here as soon as I can!
