cells???How many brain cells do we lose each day??????????
That is true, it is estimated that for every gram of alcohol you drink you kill a newron. But it also depends on your activity, the amount of sleep, how stressed you are etc...

Sorry i do not know any examples because this is not exactly my favourite field. But here is a nice analogy: the brain cell is like a computer. If you keep it working all the time and never turn it off eventually it will break. But you can go to store and buy a new one. It is like that in the brain: new newrons are created continuosly, contrary to the belief of even some teachers that no newrons are created in a man's life-time
